For the fourth consecutive year, the Muslim Council of Elders is participating in the New Delhi World Book Fair, which will be held from January 10 to 18, 2026, at the Bharat Mandapam Convention Center in the Indian capital, New Delhi. The Council\u2019s participation stems from its mission to promote peace, establish the values of dialogue and tolerance, and build bridges of cooperation and human coexistence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Throughout the days of the fair, the Muslim Council of Elders\u2019 pavilion will present over 270 publications, including a number of the latest releases from Al-Hokamah Publishing. These include over 20 works by His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders, aimed at introducing the tolerance of Islam and the richness of its intellectual and philosophical heritage. Among these works are: \u201cAl-Qawl Al-Tayyib,\u201d \u201cFrom My Old Notebooks,\u201d \u201cA View on East-West Dialogue,\u201d \u201cAn Introduction to the Study of Ancient Logic,\u201d \u201cA Discourse on Causes and Objectives,\u201d \u201cOn Sufi Theological Terminology,\u201d \u201cHeritage and Renewal,\u201d \u201cFor the Sake of Peace,\u201d \u201cReflections on the Thought of Imam Al-Ash\u2018ari,\u201d \u201cEtiquette and Values,\u201d \u201cTowards Contemporary Jurisprudential Ijtihad,\u201d and \u201cLady Aisha, Mother of the Believers,\u201d among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The pavilion will also feature several important publications, including: \u201cLove in the Holy Qur\u2019an\u201d by Prince Ghazi bin Muhammad, a member of the Muslim Council of Elders; \u201cThe Pope and the Grand Imam: A Thorny Path\u201d by Judge Mohamed Abdel Salam, Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Elders; \u201cRules of Understanding and Comprehension in Thought and Language\u201d by Dr. Mustafa Benhamza, a member of the Muslim Council of Elders; and \u201cMuslims at a Crossroads\u201d by the late Dr. Mahmoud Hamdi Zakzouk, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Recognizing the importance of translation as a bridge between civilizations, the Council will also showcase 25 books in Hindi, Urdu, and Malayalam, including: Al-Qawl Al-Tayyib, Care for Women\u2019s Rights, Interpretation of Ibn Furak, A Discourse on Peace, Dialogue Between East and West, and Freedom and Citizenship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Additionally, the pavilion will present numerous translated works, such as \u201cThe Voice of Change,\u201d \u201cShared Universal Values and Building International Peace\u201d by a group of researchers, \u201cCombating Islamophobia in Europe\u201d by a group of researchers, \u201cIslam and Good Governance\u201d by Professor Dr. Muqtedar Khan, and \u201cIslam, the West, and Tolerance: Conceiving Coexistence\u201d by Aaron Tyler.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As part of its participation in this cultural event, the Muslim Council of Elders\u2019 pavilion will organize a series of seminars aimed at fostering discussions that promote social cohesion and highlight the role of religions in addressing contemporary challenges. These seminars will cover several important topics, including: \u201cAI for Humanity: Religious Perspectives on Ethical Artificial Intelligence\u201d, \u201cInterfaith Dialogue in the Spirit of the Document on Human Fraternity\u201d and \u201cIntra-Islamic Dialogue \u2013 A Reading of the Call for the People of Qiblah\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The participation of the Muslim Council of Elders in the New Delhi World Book Fair reflects its ongoing efforts to build bridges of communication between cultures and affirm the importance of shared human values on the global stage.
